Where Termius may suit you better

Termius is stronger if you live on a phone or a tablet: its mobile apps are mature and have years of polish behind them, while the Edgely Console companion is new on both stores. Its hosted sync is also simpler to set up than moving an encrypted export between machines.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Will my sessions sync between devices?

Yes. Edgely sync covers connection metadata, groups, snippets, bookmarks and preferences. Credentials are never part of it: passwords and keys stay in the local encrypted vault and move between your own machines only through a password-protected, encrypted .evlt export.

Is Edgely really free for personal use?

Yes. Edgely Console and Edgely Database Manager are free and complete for personal use: every feature unlocked, no time limit, no nag screens, no account needed. A paid licence is required when a company uses them for work.

Does Edgely run on macOS, Windows and Linux?

Yes, natively on all three. The Rust core compiles to native binaries and the Flutter UI is hardware-accelerated, so the same build runs on macOS (Intel and Apple Silicon), Windows 10 and 11, and Ubuntu, Debian, Fedora or Arch. A mobile companion ships on Android and iOS.

Can I import my existing servers?

Edgely Console imports MobaXterm session exports (.mxtsessions), Remote Desktop Manager files (.rdm, .xml or .json) and Edgely's own .econ, .evlt, .efull and .eset exports. Other tools are typed in once for now. A MobaXterm or Remote Desktop Manager file brings the hosts, ports, users and folders, never the passwords those tools encrypt; Remote Desktop Manager's user names can also go into the vault, and an encrypted Edgely export or a password manager's CSV fills the vault directly. Whichever route you take, the credential lands in the encrypted vault on the device and is never uploaded.

An SSH client with nothing behind a plan

Edgely Console is free for personal use, with no feature locked away and no account to create. Add your hosts and keep going.
