DataGrip alternative Edgely Database Manager
DataGrip is a powerful database IDE built on the JetBrains platform, with the start-up time and memory use that implies. Edgely Database Manager is native, built on a Rust core, and covers the same everyday work: browsing, querying, editing, comparing, migrating and benchmarking.

Where DataGrip may suit you better
DataGrip inherits the JetBrains editor: refactoring across a schema, inspections, version control integration and a plugin ecosystem. If you write SQL all day inside that platform, or you need SQLite, it remains the stronger tool.
Questions
Edgely Database Manager completes tables, columns and keywords from the live schema, and the AI assistant turns a sentence into SQL against that schema. DataGrip has the deeper refactoring and inspection toolset that comes with the JetBrains platform.
Yes. Edgely Console and Edgely Database Manager are free and complete for personal use: every feature unlocked, no time limit, no nag screens, no account needed. A paid licence is required when a company uses them for work.
Yes, natively on all three. The Rust core compiles to native binaries and the Flutter UI is hardware-accelerated, so the same build runs on macOS (Intel and Apple Silicon), Windows 10 and 11, and Ubuntu, Debian, Fedora or Arch. A mobile companion ships on Android and iOS.
Edgely Console imports MobaXterm session exports (.mxtsessions), Remote Desktop Manager files (.rdm, .xml or .json) and Edgely's own .econ, .evlt, .efull and .eset exports. Other tools are typed in once for now. A MobaXterm or Remote Desktop Manager file brings the hosts, ports, users and folders, never the passwords those tools encrypt; Remote Desktop Manager's user names can also go into the vault, and an encrypted Edgely export or a password manager's CSV fills the vault directly. Whichever route you take, the credential lands in the encrypted vault on the device and is never uploaded.
Point Edgely Database Manager at the database you open most, and compare how long each tool takes to be useful after launch.
