Differences in architecture and licensing, not a scorecard. Where Termius, MobaXterm or SecureCRT is the better fit for you, that is worth knowing before you switch.

A native connection manager, not a terminal with tabs

Console is measured against SSH clients and against remote-desktop tools, because it replaces both. What decides it is the runtime, the licence and where your credentials live.

Runtime Rust, native, 50-80% less memory
No bundled browser engine and no JVM, so the app opens in a second and stays small with a dozen sessions running.
Remote desktop RDP, VNC and ARD render inside the app
The remote screen draws in a tab beside your terminals, with its own clipboard and file transfer. There is no external viewer to install or hand the session to.
File transfer Remote to remote, without a local hop
Copy straight from one server to another instead of pulling the files down to your machine and pushing them back up. Dual pane, batch queue and a transfer log.
Credentials AES-256-GCM vault, opened by you or by your keychain
Passwords and keys stay in a local vault, unlocked by a master password or silently by the OS keychain. Sync carries hosts, groups and settings; the server refuses credentials by design.
Licence Free and complete for personal use
Every protocol and every tool, with no cap on saved hosts, devices or sessions. Commercial use is 79 euros a year, and the same licence unlocks Edgely Database Manager.
Telemetry None, in every build
No analytics, no crash reporting, and no account needed to run the app. What leaves your machine is what you connect to.

Commonly compared with

Where others may suit you better

A Windows-only tool your team has built years of macros on carries an inertia that is a real cost to give up. Console's plugin surface is younger, and if your work depends on an established scripting ecosystem, keeping it is a fair call.
