Downloading from them and uploading to them is what Pro unlocks, so you always know exactly what is on the other side before you pay. Sending files to a device stays free.

Network

Discovery that holds up on awkward networks

Corporate firewalls. AP isolation. VPN. Every discovery packet goes out three ways, global broadcast, subnet broadcast and unicast, so peers are found where single-method discovery misses them entirely.

Trust

Mutual consent, symmetric verification

When two devices pair, both see the same 16-character code, derived from the SHA-256 fingerprints of both devices' TLS certificates. Compare them visually: neither side trusts the other to display the right code.

Efficiency

Always on, never noisy

30-second low-frequency heartbeat. Reactive bursts only when something changes. Pure LAN, your ISP never sees the bytes.

  • Stale-device cleanup at 90s, list stays accurate
  • Pure LAN P2P, no ISP egress, no cloud middleman
