Windows ⇄ iPhone E2E Encrypted Generous free tier
iTunes is gone, iCloud asks for an account, and mailing a file to yourself is not a method. Edgely Transfer puts your Windows PC and your iPhone on the same Device Ring over your own network and moves files straight between them, encrypted with TLS 1.3.
Both apps ship today: an MSIX package or a Setup.exe installer for Windows 10 and 11, and Edgely Transfer Mobile on the App Store for iPhone and iPad on iOS 15 and later. Sending and receiving files is free on every tier, and the mobile app is free in full.
Edgely Transfer for Windows is an MSIX package or a Setup.exe installer from the downloads page. Edgely Transfer Mobile is on the App Store, for iPhone and iPad.
Allow local network access when iOS asks for it, then scan the QR code shown on the PC, or confirm the request on both screens. The pairing is mutual and lasts.
Drag files onto the iPhone on the PC’s Device Ring, or pick photos and files on the phone and choose the PC. The transfer stays on your network and each file is verified on arrival.
Because that is how the two devices find each other. iOS asks once before an app may talk to devices on your own network; Edgely Transfer needs it to discover the PC and to transfer to it directly. Nothing leaves that network.
Yes. Every transfer runs over TLS 1.3 between the two devices, each with a certificate it generated itself and pinned to the other when you paired them. Nothing goes through an Edgely server, so there is no relay and no cloud copy to decrypt, and every file that arrives is checked against its SHA-256 before it takes its real name.
No. Pair the two devices once, by scanning the QR code or by accepting the request on both screens, and they keep working together with no account and no internet connection. An account is only needed to activate a paid licence.
Sending and receiving files is free on every tier, on as many devices as you like, and the mobile app is free in full. Pro, 9 euros a year, adds downloads and uploads inside another device’s shared folders, transfer history older than seven days, and resuming an interrupted transfer where it stopped. It is also included in Edgely Guard and in the Edgely Suite.
One transfer can carry up to 10 GB, and a transfer that stalls for 60 seconds is dropped so the sockets are freed. On the free tier an interrupted transfer starts again from the beginning; with Pro it picks up from the last byte the receiver verified, even after the app has been restarted.
Download Edgely Transfer on every device you use, pair them once, and forget the email-to-yourself trick exists.
