Where Navicat may suit you better
Navicat has a deeper scheduling, reporting and BI toolset than we do, a longer list of engines, and a cloud that shares connections across a team. If your week depends on scheduled report generation, Navicat remains the stronger fit.
Questions
Navicat has a deeper scheduling, reporting and BI toolset, and a longer list of niche engines. If your work depends on scheduled report generation, Navicat remains the stronger fit; for daily querying, editing, comparison and migration, Edgely covers it.
Yes. Edgely Console and Edgely Database Manager are free and complete for personal use: every feature unlocked, no time limit, no nag screens, no account needed. A paid licence is required when a company uses them for work.
Yes, natively on all three. The Rust core compiles to native binaries and the Flutter UI is hardware-accelerated, so the same build runs on macOS (Intel and Apple Silicon), Windows 10 and 11, and Ubuntu, Debian, Fedora or Arch. A mobile companion ships on Android and iOS.
Edgely Console imports MobaXterm session exports (.mxtsessions), Remote Desktop Manager files (.rdm, .xml or .json) and Edgely's own .econ, .evlt, .efull and .eset exports. Other tools are typed in once for now. A MobaXterm or Remote Desktop Manager file brings the hosts, ports, users and folders, never the passwords those tools encrypt; Remote Desktop Manager's user names can also go into the vault, and an encrypted Edgely export or a password manager's CSV fills the vault directly. Whichever route you take, the credential lands in the encrypted vault on the device and is never uploaded.
Connect Edgely Database Manager to a database you know well and run the comparison and migration tools against it.
