BleachBit alternative Edgely Guard

A BleachBit alternative that does more than clean

BleachBit is the free, open source cleaner many Linux users start with. Edgely Guard cleans the same caches and browser data, and adds an app uninstaller, heuristic malware scanning, a security audit, S.M.A.R.T. disk health and a network toolkit, on Linux, Windows and macOS.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Does Edgely Guard run on my Linux distribution?

It ships as a DEB for Debian and Ubuntu, an RPM for Fedora and openSUSE, and an AppImage that runs on most other distributions.

Is Edgely Guard free?

Yes, and without a trial clock. Every scan, the security audit, the live monitor, the network tools, the app uninstaller and the 17-tool toolkit are free and unmetered. The one limit on the free tier is the cleanup itself: five cleanups a month, and the app shows how many are left. Pro, at 39 euros a year, removes that limit and includes Edgely Transfer Pro.

Which systems does Edgely Guard run on?

macOS, Windows and Linux, as native apps with a Rust core: a signed and notarized DMG on macOS, an MSIX package or a Setup.exe on Windows, and a DEB, an RPM or an AppImage on Linux.

Does Edgely Guard delete anything without asking?

No. A scan shows every category and its size first, and you choose what is cleaned. The Windows registry cleaner saves a backup before it changes anything, and a file the malware scan quarantines can be restored. Guard sends no telemetry.

Clean it, then look after it

Edgely Guard adds an uninstaller, malware scanning and disk health to the cleanup. Free to download.
